Traineeships are the best way to combine training and employment. They are a way of training staff to meet your business needs, whilst they obtain a nationally recognised qualification.
Traineeships combine practical work with structured training to give people a nationally recognised qualification and the experience they need to get the job done.
A traineeship can last between one or two years, and all the training can be delivered on the job. As the progams are competency based, it may be possible for a trainee to complete their training sooner if they have reached the skill level required.
Traineeships provide real benefits for your business. Your trainee contributes to your bottom line with practical skills and knowledge acquired through their training.
No two businesses are the same, and that is why traineeships have been designed to be flexible, while at the same time providing nationally recognised quality training.
We currently offer traineeships with the following qualifications:
Traineeships attract financial assistance for eligible employers to help reduce the cost of training your staff. Through Federal funding you may be eligible to receive $4,000 (per trainee) of commonwealth incentives over the term of a traineeship. In addition, as your Registered Training Organisation (RTO) we may be eligible for financial support from state organisations.
The table below should give you an idea of what funding incentives are available, though please note this information is intended as a guide only.

Traineeships are a very cost effective way of training your staff thanks to the Federal and State Funding incentives. In most cases the only cost incurred above the trainee's wage is a mandatory fee set by the states.
A trainee is usually paid a training wage, as a reflection that the employer is investing in their training. In other respects such as superannuation, workers' compensation and other entitlements or requirements, you will generally treat a New Apprentice the same as all other employees. Some State Governments also offer exemptions on workers’ compensation and/or payroll tax for trainees.
We know that the key to the success of a business is the people involved. We also know that the best people are looking for new challenges and recognition. So how do you ensure that you keep your most qualified, hardworking and reliable people? It's easy; invest in them and their future.
