Leadership Development Program

About the Workshop

The Leadership Development Program is aligned with industry qualifications (Certificate IV or Diploma of Government or Frontline Management) and covers the competencies required to be an effective leader.

McMillan takes a hands-on approach to delivering the Leadership Development Program. We focus on the needs of the individuals and our goal is to assist them with professional development throughout the entire program.

Program content and assessments are completely contextualised to participants’ workplaces, ensuring clear alignment with the organisation’s vision, current business and strategic plans. As a result, participants are able to see the relevance of the training and have the maximum opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge gained from the program back in the workplace.

Learning Outcomes

The program objectives are for participants to:

  • Understand changes within their organisation which impact on them in the role of leader
  • Understand and practice interpersonal skills which affect their ability as a leader and how they interact with others
  • Apply strategies to manage for effective results
  • Develop knowledge of themselves and their style as a leader
  • Plan actions to implement practical strategies in the workplace.

Target Audience

This program is particularly suited to those new to the leadership role as well as those who have been working as a leader and would like to enhance their effectiveness

Duration

McMillan will conduct group workshops over a 12 month period for staff in your organisation completing the Leadership Development Program
