APS Values and Code of Conduct

Overview

This workshop will raise participants’ awareness of their responsibilities in relation to the APS Values and Code of Conduct and increase their understanding of them. Participants will develop skills in identifying and resolving ethical problems and values-tensions, and in applying a decision-making tool. The workshop also addresses processes for reporting unethical behaviour.

 

Learning Outcomes

Increased understanding of APS Values and Code of Conduct.

Develop Strategies for:

  • Identifying ethical/values problems
  • Supporting others to develop ethical judgement
  • Skills in using a decision-making tool
  • Knowledge of processes for reporting unethical behaviour

 

Target Audience

This half-day workshop is designed for APS employees at the APS 1-6 level.

The workshop may be conducted as an introductory session for employees new to the APS or it may be a follow-up to induction training where the APS Values were initially introduced. The focus is on the development of an individual’s skills in values-based decision-making behaviour.
